Can You Watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Each Night?

The Magic Kingdom offers a fireworks show every night for its guests, but the fireworks you see may vary slightly depending on when you are visiting. For the majority of the year, you’ll see the Disney Enchantment fireworks, which are the recent replacement for the previous Happily Ever After fireworks show. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are visiting during either the fall or holiday seasons, the fireworks usually take place just during the special after-hours events. These fireworks may require you to purchase a ticket to be in the park for the party, so check out the schedule for the fireworks shows ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

Another thing to remember is that fireworks are subject to good weather. While Walt Disney World will do all they can to let the show go ahead, when there is heavy rain or wind, they may have to cancel the show. When this does happen, expect to hear announcements around the park just before the show.

The exact time of the fireworks show will vary depending on the season, but it usually starts at around 8 pm or 9 pm each night. You’ll want to make sure you get a place in advance of this time, especially if you are looking to get as close to the castle as possible. The further back you are willing to stand on Main Street, U.S.A, the later you can get to the show. As far as where to watch the show, we recommend making sure you can see the castle. The projections on the castle during the fireworks are a huge part of the show, but we also love seeing the projections on the stores on Main Street, U.S.A. with the new fireworks.

If you don’t have a park ticket for the Magic Kingdom, you could opt to watch the fireworks from one of the nearby resorts. Keep in mind you may not be able to park in the resort if you don’t have a dining reservation, but you could make a night out of this if you fancy. We love dining at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which offers some of the best restaurants for families on the property. After dinner, you can then head down to the beach in time to watch the fireworks. The music will be piped into the beach, so you’ll feel like you are in the middle of all of the action, without the crowds that you find in the Magic Kingdom.

When planning a trip to Walt Disney World, you’ll find that the Magic Kingdom isn’t the only park offering night-time entertainment. Disney’s Animal Kingdom park doesn’t have a fireworks show for the safety of the animals who live here. However, EPCOT is home to Harmonious, which is another great new show for the 50th anniversary. You’ll want to get here early as well, but it’s not as crowded as at the Magic Kingdom, due to how much more space this park has.

As of the current time, Fantasmic has yet to return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and they aren’t offering nightly fireworks here. Instead, there’s a projection show each night, which is a fun way to close out your day. If you time it right, you may even be able to visit a couple of parks in one night, seeing two fireworks shows or events before the day is done.

No visit to Walt Disney World is complete without seeing the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. Make sure you get a spot in plenty of time for the show, especially if you are looking to be close to the castle. Kids and adults of all ages will be delighted by the fireworks here, which are some of the best you’ll see in the world.
