EPCOT has its yearly festivals, like the Festival of the Arts or the most popular one Food and Wine, but not rides. It’s also known that Disney World will not be getting any of the main Marvel characters inside the park.
So when the new Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction opened I was over the moon. When I took my first ride Cosmic Rewind became one of my top 5 roller coasters at Disney.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a smooth roller coaster unlike any other at Walt Disney World. The Starjumpers will take you through space and time on a chase with Groot, Gamora, Drax, and the rest of your favorite Gaurdians characters.
I’ve ridden Cosmic Rewind about 5 times so far. I’ve actually had Blondie’s One Way or Another twice so far. So I still need to ride a few more times to make my way through the full list of songs.
Every time I get off Cosmic Rewind I’m pumped, and ready to go do a few laps around the World Showcase! The music on Cosmic Rewind isn’t from a single artist, but multiple. Different tempos always getting my day going, so I try to get a boarding pass as early as I can!

What Songs Are Featured On Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind?
One of the most talked about elements of this new EPCOT ride is the Cosmic Rewind Song List. The awesome mix playlist features these six tracks for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind:
- Conga – Gloria Estefan
- September – Earth, Wind & Fire
- Disco Inferno – The Trammps
- I Ran – A Flock of Seagulls
- Everybody Wants to Rule the World – Tears for Fears
- One Way or Another – Blondie
There’s so much to enjoy from the reverse launch to the unique soundtracks that play on the ride. Have you’ve ridden Rock’n’Roller coaster? If so, you are already familiar with the different sound tracks idea.
The addition of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind to EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort has thrilled Marvel fans from around the world. One of the most unique features of this attraction is you have the chance to experience a new song that will be your soundtrack to the roller coaster.
Keep reading as I reveal how often the songs change on Cosmic Rewind and what you can expect when you ride this coaster during the holiday season.
Do The Songs Change On Cosmic Rewind?
There are six different songs featured on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This new ride is already the most popular attraction in EPCOT.
If you are lucky enough to ride the attraction a few times during your vacation, you’ll no doubt get the chance to experience different songs. The ride stays the same no matter how many times you ride.
You’ll find that the motion of it may feel different to you based on what song on the awesome mix you are listening to.
How Many Songs Does The Guardians Of The Galaxy Ride Have?
The six different songs on Cosmic Rewind are played at random, so you never know what you are going to get when you board the ride. With this many potential songs to choose from, you’ll feel like you are in the middle of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies every time you ride.
The cast member helping you board the ride won’t be able to choose the song for you, so you have to keep coming back until you experience all six of the tracks.
Until the ride takes off, you won’t have a clue which specific song you are about to hear, which adds to the fun of the experience. The Imagineers took years designing this ride and choosing the perfect tracks to add to it. The effort has paid off with the popularity of the attraction.
You’ll see your favorite characters during the ride, such as Peter Quill. Which is why Marvel lovers have returned over and over again for an intergalactic chase on this family-thrill coaster since it opened.
What Christmas Songs Will Be On Cosmic Rewind?
During the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, I was excited to find out that the holiday season would bring with it a holiday remix for Cosmic Rewind. The holiday remix was used during the peak holiday period, adding a festive twist to this ride.
For the holiday overlay, guests enjoyed holiday music with new lyrics, such as Run Run Rocket instead of Run Run Rudolph. Other tunes that were included during this time included Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls.
If it’s your first time on the attraction during the holidays, know that the actual ride doesn’t change at all. So you can still enjoy the holiday songs and mash-up of seasonal jams while appreciating the brand new ride experience.
Top Tips for Riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
You’ll want to make sure that you are prepared in advance to ride this attraction, which still uses the virtual queue feature. The various tracks mean that it’s easy to ride over and over again.
With a lot of your favorite holiday songs, this resulted in another increase in the popularity of the ride.
As the sound system and list of songs are a huge draw for guests, this means that locals and visitors alike are still fighting each day to enjoy this new attraction. The Guardians of the Galaxy holiday special is something I can’t wait to see return again next year.
So make sure you pack your patience and try to secure your ride time first thing in the morning.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has a very unique soundtrack with different songs for guests to enjoy. The song selections can make a huge difference to the ride. Guests love trying to enjoy all them at least once when they ride over and over again.
The addition of the holiday overlay, only made the Cosmic Rewind roller coaster more popular. I can’t wait to experience this addition again next holiday season.
If you’re a Guardians of the Galaxy fan, don’t forget to stop into the Wonders of Xandar pavilion. It’s your run of the mill gift shop for a Disney park, but it has more stuff related to the Guardians.
It’s a lot of fun to peek around and put on the different gear they have specific to the ride. I also enjoy the hologram type talking heads from different people in the Nova Corps.
