New Annual Pass Offerings At Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World has officially resumed sales of Annual Passes (APs), and just in time for the 50th Anniversary celebration! As anticipated, the options and packages are a bit different than the previous version of APs. Let’s explore what these changes are and what you can expect if you plan to purchase a new Annual Pass, renew, or upgrade an existing ticket to an AP.

If you are an EXISTING Annual Passholder under the previous program, the current benefits will remain in place until your pass is expired, with the following exception:

  • Park reservation limits have increased and are aligned with the new pass structure:
    • Platinum Plus, Platinum, and Gold Passes: 5 reservations
    • Silver Passes: 4 reservations
    • Weekday and all others: 3 reservations

Once your Annual Pass expires, you will need to choose one of the new passes when renewing.

If you are a NEW Annual Passholder, you will select from the following options:

DISNEY INCREDI-PASS (similar to Platinum Pass)

  • Cost: $1,299 + tax (Renewal: $1,104 + tax)
  • 5 park reservations
  • No blockout dates
  • Anyone can purchase

DISNEY SORCERER PASS (similar to Gold Pass)

  • Cost: $899 + tax (Renewal: $764 + tax)
  • 5 park reservations
  • Block out dates: Nov. 24-27, Dec. 18-31
  • For Florida residents and DVC Members ONLY

DISNEY PIRATE PASS (similar to Silver Pass)

  • Cost: $699 + tax (Renewal: $594 + tax)
  • 4 park reservations
  • Block out dates: Holidays and peak times
  • For Florida residents ONLY

DISNEY PIXIE DUST PASS (similar to Weekday Pass)

  • Cost: $399 + tax (Renewal: $339 + tax)
  • 3 park reservations
  • Block out dates: Most weekends, holidays, and peak times
  • For Florida residents ONLY

All four park passes include the following benefits:

  • Standard theme park parking
  • Hopper option
  • Select dining discounts
  • Up to 20% off select merchandise
  • 50th Anniversary special surprises
  • Access to special Passholder merchandise
  • Disney will also be offering “bonus days” when availability allows for those who aren’t blocked out

Add-On Options:

Water parks add on: $99/year Access to both water parks, golf courses, and ESPN Wide World of Sports

PhotoPass add on: $99/year unlimited Photopass photos and ride photo downloads (PhotoPass downloads are no longer included in the purchase on an Annual Pass)

Additional Information:

  • Florida residents have the added benefit of making monthly payments for their passes.
  • When staying in a Walt Disney World hotel, WDW Resort Guests can book park reservations for the length of their stay, independent of AP reservation limits.
  • The limit on park pass reservations is not the max you can have for the year, it’s the max at one time. It’s a rolling limit, so as soon as you enter a park you can book another park reservation right away.
  • Upgrading a previously purchased standard park ticket (with or without hopper) to an Annual Pass is permitted. The cost of the standard park ticket will be applied to the value of the AP of your choice.

While the new Annual Pass structure is similar in terms of benefits and tiering to the previous, there is a significant price increase, especially for Florida residents. Something to consider before purchasing, renewing, or upgrading.
