The official Walt Disney World calendar indicates that the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will reopen to guests on July 27, 2024.
Just to let you know, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been closed since January 8th for what’s being described as routine maintenance. They’re keeping the Aerosmith theme so that no changes will be made to the ride.
There were several rumors that Aerosmith was going to be dropped from the ride, but at this time, it will not. It could have been refurbished to add the Muppets, but sadly not going to be happening.
Adena Corporation is doing the refurbishment work. The same company handled projects like the TRON Lightcycle Run and the EPCOT redevelopment. They also took care of the coaster’s previous refurbishment in early 2023.
It seems they’re aiming to tackle the ongoing issues since the ride has recently had quite a few downtimes. Hopefully, this refurbishment will address those problems effectively.
