4 Underrated Dining Locations at Disney World

Casey’s Corner and Cosmic Rays may be dining hot spots for Walt Disney World Guests, but there are so many engaging dining experiences that Guests look over in the hype of their crammed schedules. Check out these underrated dining locations at Walt Disney World that you’ll want to visit over and over!

Garden Grill

This character dining experience in The Land at Epcot is a great, healthy option for all ages! Designed with a rotating dining room, Garden Grill is a family-style, all-you-can-eat restaurant that exposes you to beautiful scenery from Living with the Land while you dine! This cozy atmosphere features Chip and Dale, Pluto, and Farmer Mickey. My favorite dish from this location is the Goldfish mac and cheese! It is so creamy, and the salty crackers add a nice texture. You’ll order a second round of this for sure! The meal also includes carved meats, vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a refreshing cake with berries and whipped cream for dessert!

If you’re lucky, you might catch Farmer Mickey watering his plants out front!

Whispering Canyon Café

You definitely need to strap yourself onto your saddle and ride to the Wilderness Lodge Resort for this interactive dining experience as soon as possible if you haven’t yet! Eating breakfast or lunch in this woodsy atmosphere will make you feel like you’re in a cabin. While most Guests enjoy the family-style breakfast skillet featuring delicious cheddar biscuits, hickory smoked bacon, Mickey waffles, and sausage links, you can order omelets from the menu, too!

The delicious food isn’t the only remarkable aspect of Whispering Canyon Café! Cast members at this dining location will have you laughing for hours! Even if you’re not a child, they will ask you to compete in the pony races, and the sassy staff does not take no for an answer. And if you’re dining with a friend or a family member, they will have video evidence of this charade to embarrass you for ages.

While dining, you have to ask for the ketchup! You won’t be disappointed by what happens next!

The Edison

If you’re looking for dinner and a show, the Edison at Disney Springs is your answer! My favorite item is the large mac and cheese bowl that is big enough to share or take home for leftovers. Their signature cocktails are exquisite as well!

If you visit between Thursday and Saturday night, live entertainment inspired by the 1920s era will dazzle you while you dine. After 10 p.m., the restaurant transforms into a nightclub, where you’ll be amused by flapper girls, stilt walkers, dancers, and more!

This late-night offering requires a dress code, so no Mickey T-shirts or jeans!

Gasparilla Island Grill

While most Guests gravitate towards 1900 Park Fare or Grand Floridian Café, this hidden gem in the Grand Floridan Resort & Spa is pretty spectacular! This is a visually pleasing quick service location for Guests looking for quality meals on-the-go. Located on the first floor, Gasparilla Grill will delight you with the coffee bar of your dreams and offers hot Italian sandwiches and burgers for dinner!

We recommend eating outside for a beautiful view!

You may have noticed that most of these dining experiences weren’t at the parks themselves. That’s because resort dining is so underrated! Make sure to squeeze in some time to visit these dining locations during your vacation at Walt Disney World!
